One of the things that comes to mind when looking back at all of our Q&A’s is that there are some key commonalities amongst the longest hitters in the world. These are some of the things that stand out for me:

  • All the longest long drivers physically work on their swing speed. No one swings that fast naturally. It takes work on your part, but this is definitely something you can do as well if you want to hit the ball longer. But not only will swing speed training help your speed, power, and distance…it can also help you lower your handicap.
  • Most of these guys use one or more of the three types of training aids that are good for developing speed: overspeed type clubs, heavier clubs, and wind resistance devices…
