In our quest for the “perfect swing” (if it even exists), we often lose sight of the goal of the game. This article will be incredibly simple, yet, at the same time, make you say “huh, I never thought of it like that”.
The Game
Our aim in this game is simple – hit the target.
We can do that in many ways – shaping the ball high/low, from left-to-right or from right-to-left. We can shape the ball in varying amounts, and can even do it in a different way each time.
But the goal remains the same – hit the target.
Classifying errors
Therefore, when I am analyzing a player, I am simply looking at what their common miss is.
Are they missing short/long…or left/right more often?
From there, we can implement a plan to limit this miss…
